Because I realize most people do not know what is happening behind the scenes here at church. There is A LOT that happens alongside the sermon. I like to share what my work days look like every once in a while.
Yesterday:
- Started prepping for church at 6:30am
- Sunday Morning Worship
- Schenectady Greenmarket for 2 hours handing out letters and explaining our Farm Stand and Community Pavilion to Farms (Securing 1 Definites Yes), also got to connect with one of the other Change Makers there (Ariel) and Dr. Cotto (he is the district superintendent for the Schenectady School District)
- Further Research on Farm Stand
- Follow up on Emails from Connections at the Farmer's Market
- Searched the church for some accessory items needed for the Farm Stand (Chalk boards, baskets, etc.)
- Created 2 Sundays worth of Order of Service
- Pastoral Care phone call
- Follow up phone call
Ending my work day at 8:30pm
Today:
- Spoke with 3 contractors (One for the building, One for the plumbing, and one who had also given us an estimate)
- Called Sam's for flower donation for the Farm Stand (waiting on call back)
- Met with our Local Licensed minister
- Arranged with board secretary connection to Electrical Contractor
- Made further connections, answered emails from Schenectady Foundation Event
- Review Grants ending (2 Grant cycles are occurring at the same time, 1 is ending, the other is mid cycle) Both need reports due within 2 weeks of each other
- Gathering sources for a Grant presentation which will be May 30th for another application
- Gathering reports for a Grant zoom meeting tomorrow (the final meeting) to report the full year for use of the grant funds
- Forwarded Invoice
- Sermon prep
- Researching and trying new ideas within CCLI for worship music (Downloads, etc.)
- Currently working on completing Order of Worship for June
